Alan Is On The Chartered Trail

A leading, local independent financial adviser, Alan Lander, has been awarded prestigious chartered status by the Personal Finance Society, the professional body for the financial advisory profession in the UK.

Alan, who lives in Bracknell, is well known in the community as a Governor at Sandy Lane Primary School. He is also a leader at the Kerith Community Church, and is part of a team that will be visiting a church-sponsored HIV AIDS project in Serenje, Zambia later this month.

In his role as a board director at leading independent financial planners Regency Investment Services, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, Alan is spearheading the move for the company to become one of the first in the region to become fully chartered. This will put it on a par with other professional organisations such as solicitors and accountants.

Alan, and the highly qualified team at Regency, take a holistic and wide-ranging approach providing both individual and business clients with independent financial planning advice. He personally specialises in wealth management and pre- and post-retirement planning, but also offers expert financial advice on issues such as long term care, taxation and investments.

"Becoming a chartered financial adviser is an important step both personally and for Regency," says Alan. "It means we will be ready to embrace the changes that will come as a result of the Government's Pensions Review and Retail Distribution Review, and also that we are fully qualified to help people with complex and demanding cases that other more general providers, such as banks, cannot."

Alan also stresses that becoming chartered reflects his and Regency's drive towards greater professionalism within the financial services sector. "We feel that it is an important step towards companies such as Regency being recognised as the very best in their field."
