Surrey-based Regency Investment Services has taken a step nearer to achieving chartered status with the announcement that board director Alan Lander has been awarded the qualification by the Personal Finance Society.

Lander, who worked in commercial banking for twenty years before moving into the financial services sector fifteen years ago, joined Regency Investment Services in 2006. In addition to providing clients with pension, investment and inheritance tax advice, he is qualified in the specialist area of financial planning for long term care. He is the first board member at Regency Investment Services to become chartered but, with another director due to qualify this year, the company will be eligible to apply for chartered status by the end of 2010.

Regency Investment Services was founded in 1965 and since that time it has grown and evolved into a high-calibre company at the forefront of the financial services sector.
